About the Unit The Palliative Care Unit is part of the Palliative Clinic and provides specialized palliative care at Falun Hospital. We have 8 care beds and receive patients from throughout Dalarna. Teamwork is central, and all professional groups contribute to quality care. For us, it is important to care for patients, relatives, and each other with professionalism, compassion, and respect. With a holistic view of the individual, our goal is to create security and good quality of life for the patient and their relatives through high availability, participation, and continuity. Job Responsibilities We are now seeking a registered nurse for our Palliative Care Unit. Care is focused on patients with severe symptoms who are in the final stages of life. Our ambition is to make the illness experience as good as possible for the patient and their relatives. We care for patients with varying diagnoses and advanced symptoms. Standard nursing tasks—involving a combination of medical technology and quality care. Some of our patients have, for example, central lines, drainage, and receive medication via pump. We are looking for someone who is curious and open to challenges. Meeting seriously ill patients and their relatives requires personal maturity and confidence in your professional role. Qualifications You are a licensed registered nurse with an interest in palliative care. It is important that you are empathetic and have good communication with patients, relatives, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and your understanding of different social and cultural contexts. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
