We are now recruiting a hospital physicist to our team within Radiation Safety in Region Norrbotten. The Patient Safety Unit is part of the Health and Medical Care Department and works at the regional level on issues concerning patient safety, healthcare hygiene, infection control, radiation safety and medicines. We have a central role in supporting health and medical care activities, strengthening the shared patient safety culture and developing structures, methods and processes that contribute to safe and secure care. The position is placed in the Radiation Safety team, where you will become an important part of this work. We are looking for We are looking for someone who is an authorized hospital physicist, or who will soon complete their training. You should have very good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing, knowledge of M365 and interest in clinical radiation safety work. It is a merit if you have work experience from: nuclear medicine SPECT/CT and/or radioactive iodine treatment quality assurance and radiation protection preparedness or authority work. We also see it as positive if you are curious about development, especially within digitalization, programming, automation, data analysis and AI support in systematic radiation safety work. What you will work with The assignment primarily covers nuclear medicine activities, including work related to SPECT/CT, diagnostics, radioactive iodine treatment, quality assurance and radiation protection. The work is conducted in close collaboration with other radiation activities in the region, such as X-ray, mammography, interventional procedures, surgical activities and dental X-ray. The role is therefore suitable for you who want to specialize in nuclear medicine and at the same time contribute to broad and cohesive radiation safety work in Region Norrbotten. As a hospital physicist, you will work with quality assurance, optimization, dosimetry, radiation protection assessments, education, consultation, procedures and authority-related issues. You will have close collaboration with doctors, biomedical scientists, radiographers, surgical staff, biomedical engineers, managers and other professionals. The assignment may also include work with the region's preparedness for radiological and nuclear incidents. This is an area where the Radiation Safety team has an important advisory and coordinating role, in close collaboration with affected activities. Within the Radiation Safety team there is room to specialize in digitalization, programming, automation, data analysis and AI support in the systematic radiation safety work area and to implement new ideas into practical working methods that strengthen monitoring, quality assurance, reporting and support to activities.
