Site Reliability Engineer

About the Customer Varnish Software is a Scandinavian technology company that develops caching technology for some of the world's largest players in content delivery. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer who wants to be part of developing a growing Platform Engineering initiative at Varnish Software. Here you will work with modern platform solutions and contribute to creating a stable, scalable, and efficient technical environment for development teams. In this role, you will design, build, and further develop cloud-native platforms with a focus on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes. You will work with Infrastructure as Code through Terraform and Ansible, as well as automation to simplify and streamline how the platform is developed and managed. An important part of the role is creating reusable solutions and common standards that make it easier for development teams to work efficiently and independently. You will also work in areas such as CI/CD, security, and monitoring to ensure a stable and reliable platform. You will become part of an experienced engineering team where you have the opportunity to influence architecture, technology choices, and ways of working. The environment is characterized by responsibility, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, and you will have the opportunity to develop as the Platform Engineering initiative grows. Your Expertise We are looking for someone who has: Several years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineering, with very strong knowledge of Linux. Experience with Kubernetes in production environments and container-based workloads with Docker. Practical experience with Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code, primarily Terraform and Ansible. Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, and automation for provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management. As a person, you are solution-oriented and self-driven with a clear interest in automation and continuous improvement. You appreciate technical collaboration and knowledge sharing and thrive in a role where you can take responsibility and influence how platforms and ways of working develop.
