SiS LVM-home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have specialized expertise in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs. Job Description Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment educator at SiS is a meaningful challenge! As a treatment educator, you work in a team with treatment assistants, treatment secretaries, and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that our residents receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivation work and provide support in daily life. Drawing on your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the implementation of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal certainty, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain security according to our procedures and contribute to smooth daily operations for our clients. Primary contact person responsibilities are also among your duties. The work may also include serving as a mentor to new employees and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied! Our vision is to be a place for change and this permeates our approach, our commitment, and our mindset. Working hours are scheduled for day and evening shifts, Monday through Sunday. Weekend work according to schedule every third weekend. As a new employee, you will complete SiS basic training lasting 10 weeks. The training alternates theory with guided introduction, and it equips you for the treatment educator role in SiS operations. Qualifications To succeed in your work, you have a firmly grounded positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and you share SiS core values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a strong ability to create engagement and participation with our clients. As a person, you are confident in yourself and have an easy time building relationships with clients as well as with other staff members. You have good communication skills and can remain calm even in pressured situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively. You should also have: A diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) focused on social/pedagogical treatment work or education from a university that we assess as equivalent Class B driving license and access to a car Good Swedish in speech and writing It is a merit if you also have: Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as work in psychiatry or in disability care (LSS) Education in healthcare and elderly care Experience working with our target group in substance abuse care for older men Good documentation skills We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
