SiS LVM-home Östfora in Järlåsa, northwest of Uppsala, admits men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse, combined with mental health issues. We have specialized expertise in medical care and are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs. Job Description Do you want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then a position as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge! As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants, treatment secretaries, and treatment coordinators. Together, you are responsible for ensuring that the clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you work with qualified care and motivation work and provide support in daily life. With your knowledge of care and treatment work, you actively contribute to implementing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work and contributes to legal certainty, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain security according to our procedures and ensure that daily life runs smoothly for our clients. Contact person responsibilities are also part of your duties. Your work may also include mentoring new staff and interns. This is a job for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The work is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied! Our vision is to be a place for change, which permeates our interactions, commitment, and approach. The positions are placed in our intake department, and care-related tasks are part of the work. Work hours are scheduled for daytime and evening shifts, Monday through Sunday. Holiday work according to schedule every third weekend. As a new employee, you will undergo a 10-week SiS basic training program. In this training, theory alternates with supervised introduction, equipping you for the treatment role in SiS operations. Qualifications To succeed in your work, you have a firmly grounded positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS values of being a place for change. You also have a good ability to create engagement and participation with our clients. As a person, you are confident and find it easy to build relationships with both clients and other staff members. You have good communication skills and can stay calm even in pressured situations. You work well with others and can handle conflicts constructively. You must also have: A diploma from a 2-year post-secondary program at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/educational treatment work, or education from a university that we consider equivalent Category B driver's license and access to a car Good Swedish language skills, spoken and written It is a merit if you also have: Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, e.g., work in psychiatry or LSS care Education in care and support Experience working with our target group in substance abuse care for older men Good documentation skills We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
