Job Description
Want to be part of creating vital change for vulnerable people? Then working as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you ensure that our residents receive the security, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you engage in qualified care and motivation work and provide daily support. Drawing on your knowledge of care and treatment, you actively contribute to implementing treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, supporting legal certainty, planning, and monitoring of our operations. You help maintain security according to our procedures and assist with daily activities such as cleaning and meal preparation. Case management is also part of your responsibilities. Your work may also include mentoring new staff members and interns. This is a role for someone who sees a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The work is often demanding but also stimulating, rewarding, and varied.
Our vision is to be a place for change, which guides our interactions, commitment, and approach.
Work is scheduled according to day, evening, and weekend shifts.
As a new employee, you will complete SiS foundational training. The training combines theory with guided introduction, preparing you for the treatment role in SiS operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have a firmly grounded positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations and share SiS core values of being a place for change. You have a strong ability to engage and involve our residents. As a person, you are confident and build relationships easily with both youth and other staff members. You have good communication skills and can stay calm in stressful situations. You work well collaboratively and handle conflicts constructively.
You must also have:
A diploma from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational school (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work, or equivalent higher education qualification
Class B driving license
Good Swedish language skills, both written and spoken
Merits
Experience working with people in vulnerable life situations, such as in psychiatry or LSS care
Experience from client-facing positions at the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, such as a prison officer
Security guard training

Experience working with our target group (e.g., substance abuse care, youth care, young women, etc.)
At SiS, we value good collegial relationships. This means that as an employee, you take responsibility for your work, contribute to development, and promote good collaboration. Learn more at https://www.stat-inst.se/jobba-hos-oss/medarbetarskap-och-ledarskap/.
