Dalregementet Unit The Swedish Armed Forces defend Sweden, the country's interests, our freedom, and our right to live as we choose. The establishment of Dalregementet is part of building Swedish defense capability. Until the regiment reaches full capacity, including with a new regimental area, operations will be characterized by continuous development and change. Work methods will be adjusted over time to adapt to the growing organization and its operations. About the Training Support Division The division serves as the regiment's development and training center. Here, officers, specialist officers, and civilians work together to achieve operational goals. The division mainly operates within three areas: Development: We develop technology, tactics, and combat techniques to meet tomorrow's capability requirements. Training: We are responsible for training planning and lead the implementation of training for the infantry battalion, soldiers, employees, and officers' competency development here and now. Exercises and training: We conduct, test, and evaluate both our own units and formations to continuously improve our collective capability. Main Responsibilities As a simulator technician at Dalregementet, you are an important part of our team that develops new and existing capabilities and adapts and develops ground warfare to achieve the best possible effect. Your main responsibilities consist of managing the unit's simulator equipment, operating systems, and training users. The position includes both training and development responsibility within simulator services and its areas of use. You'll work in office environments as well as in operational settings and varying environments, which requires full physical capability and basic soldier skills. We offer varied and stimulating work. You'll work in a professional team with broad and diverse tasks. This is a new position that will develop together with you and our team. Qualifications Upper secondary education Driver's license category B Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English Basic level FmfyS Swedish citizen Meritorious Completed and approved military service (vpl), GMU, or GU Experience with simulator equipment in the Swedish Armed Forces or other relevant experience in technical service Driver's license category C Military operator's license for heavy personnel all-terrain vehicle, tracked vehicle, heavy truck, and/or articulated vehicle Completed international service Personal Qualities Regardless of background, it's important that you are thorough and unpretentious, and a good team player. You are flexible and can handle temporary peaks in workload without becoming stressed. You are careful without being afraid to set requirements, and you act when necessary. You also have the ability to work independently under your own responsibility. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities. Other Information Employment form: Permanent civil employment starting with a six-month probationary period Employment degree: Full-time. Working hours: 40 hours/week, daytime Monday-Friday, but service may be scheduled outside regular working hours. Work location: Falun, but service at other locations may occur. The regiment was reestablished in 2021 by decision of parliament. Our operations are based in Falun and we will contribute to the training of soldiers that build the future infantry units/Army.
