About the Unit
The Garrison Unit at AMF4 provides services including military health, surveillance/response, maritime transport, operation and maintenance of shooting and training ranges, etc. within the Gothenburg Garrison.
The Simulator Section is part of the Training and Support Division within the Garrison Unit.
Main Responsibilities
The Simulator Technician's primary task is to ensure the operation of our simulator systems.
You will be responsible for troubleshooting and performing updates to hardware and software.
Another important part is to support our users in achieving maximum training effectiveness.
Simulator services also include supporting the unit with planning, monitoring, and evaluation of tactical exercises. The Simulator Section at AMF 4 is under development with acquisition of new simulator systems and adapted facilities in progress.
The role requires great personal responsibility and commitment.
You will participate in training activities within the Swedish Armed Forces.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Military Officer, minimum rank OR6
Solid computer proficiency
Technical education at upper secondary level or equivalent education as assessed by the employer
Driver's license, minimum category B
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone with a strong interest in technology and simulators. Preferably with technical experience from the Swedish Armed Forces or civilian sectors. It is an advantage if you enjoy the training role and have pedagogical aptitude. If you are the right person but lack formal technical education, this can be addressed through further training.
We see that you have a good understanding of technology and enjoy working both in teams and independently. You also have orderliness, are responsible and structured. We see that you are service-oriented, take initiative and readily take on new tasks. You contribute with your personality to active and good cooperation and a positive team atmosphere. You are unpretentious and like exploring new solutions. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
Meritorious
Previous service in simulator technology.
Previous work with the Swedish Armed Forces' command and control systems.
Equivalent education such as Electrical/Telecom/IT and/or service time in systems technology

Other Information
Employment Type: Permanent employment according to the Officer Regulation. Individual salary setting applies. Employment begins with a 6-month probationary period for new hires.
Work Location: Västra Frölunda, Gothenburg.
Travel and evening/weekend duty may occur.
Start Date: As soon as possible by agreement.
