About the Job
Swedish development cooperation is conducted in collaboration with organizations that implement aid initiatives. As an operations controller, you play an important role in how Sida manages aid funds. You work closely with case officers, managers, and program administrators and have an active role in planning, following up on, and quality assuring interventions. To thrive in the controller role, you need to have integrity and be able to independently lead quality assurance work based on regulations, guidelines, and directives.
Job Responsibilities
Provide advice and support to case officers and managers regarding:
- Partner organizations' capacity and ability to plan, implement, and follow up on aid initiatives, for example concerning organization, governance, financial administration, and systems
- Contract design
- Financial planning and monitoring
- Risk analysis and risk management
- Analysis of financial reports and audit reports
Quality assure the handling of interventions and contribute to regulatory compliance
Contribute to follow-up on interventions through meetings with partners in Sweden and abroad
Monitor the collected aid funds managed by the unit
Participate in Sida's anti-corruption efforts
Contribute to further development of the controller role and working methods, including active participation in Sida's controller network

Qualifications
Education
Academic education equivalent to at least three years of full-time studies in economics, such as in financing, accounting, or auditing.
Languages
Very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Work Experience and Knowledge
Several years of current experience in financial and operations management, financial planning, and monitoring.
Several years of current experience in internal controls and quality assurance.
Experience with risk assessment and anti-corruption work.
Experience analyzing financial reports and audit reports.

The position is a permanent employment with start date as soon as possible. A probationary period applies.
