SFI Teacher (Bilingual)

We at S:ta Maria folkhögskola in Malmö are seeking a new colleague, an SFI teacher, for the second half of autumn 2026, starting in October. You must be qualified to teach Swedish as a Second Language (SVA). Like our current colleagues, we hope that you are at least bilingual. We would particularly appreciate Somali as a first choice - or alternatively another language (we currently have good coverage of Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Serbo-Croatian, and Russian). The position is part-time and can extend until the New Year with possible opportunity for extension. S:ta Maria is one of the folkhögskolor (folk high schools) that has been granted its own grading authority for SFI by the Swedish Schools Inspectorate since 2010. We have excellent collaboration with the City of Malmö. The position includes teaching in the folkhögskola's SFI activities. The position begins as a fixed-term employment in October through the New Year, and can possibly be extended based on need depending on the application situation, and thereafter may transition to a permanent position depending on external political decisions or internal organizational changes.
