The Business Area Own Operations is responsible for the city's own komvux, SFI, and vocational college and gives Stockholmers opportunities to study and participate in society and working life. Together we meet both Stockholmers' and the working life's needs! We are now seeking a teacher in SFI and Swedish as a second language for Komvux Rinkeby. Your role As a teacher, you will teach and support adult students in their learning by using innovative and inclusive pedagogical methods. The work includes typical teaching tasks such as: • Plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching • Documentation and grading • Adapt teaching to students' needs • Participate in the school's development work • Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals • Use digital tools in teaching • Conduct student-centered teaching • Document and follow up on students' progress The role as SFI/SVA teacher with us means varied work with the opportunity to develop and test new methods. The school's course offering includes SFI within study path 2 as well as courses at basic level. In the long term, the offering may be broadened. This could include more courses/study paths but also other language development initiatives in the form of commissioned training. Your competence and experience Requirements for the position - Certified teacher qualified to teach SFI and basic Swedish as a second language as well as one or more of the basic courses, science, social studies, or mathematics. - Experience with adult education and familiarity with meeting adult students and adapting teaching to their conditions and goals. - Very good knowledge of Swedish, both written and oral. - Knowledge of relevant digital tools and confidence in using them. Experience in planning and conducting distance and remote teaching that supports student learning. To thrive in the role, you are engaged and development-oriented.
