Service Technician at TiVA - Technology That Makes a Difference for Our Waterways

Do you want a technical job where one day you're troubleshooting systems in the workshop and the next day you're at a waterway installing a fish counter? TiVA in Kalmar develops fish counters and camera systems used throughout Europe to monitor fish populations and migration routes. Now we're growing and looking for a technician who wants to be involved every step of the way, from production assembly to field installation and customer support. About TiVA We at TiVA are a small, driven team of experts passionate about smart water-related solutions. Since our start in 2020, our systems have been adopted by hydroelectric companies, government agencies, interest organizations, and universities, in Sweden and internationally. Our products are built on artificial intelligence and specially trained algorithms for species recognition and fish counting, with real-time results. Everything we do is based on our core principles: quality, simplicity, and operational reliability. Your Responsibilities As a service technician, you'll have a varied day-to-day role where you'll: Receive support calls and help our customers with technical questions Remotely monitor systems Perform troubleshooting, updates, and maintenance Continuously validate collected data and report to customers Travel to the field for installation, service, and removal of our products Work in production with assembly and configuration of devices and systems Who Are You? Because we're a small team, it's important that you're self-driven, responsible, and willing to take your own initiative. You're service-oriented, easy to talk with, and like going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. We're looking for someone who: Has a high school education in technology, mechanics, or electronics (it's very advantageous if you have electrical knowledge or are trained or working as an electrician) Has basic programming skills Has a strong technical interest and a general understanding of hardware and software Is equally comfortable working in the workshop as in the field Holds a B-class driver's license (required, as travel to our customers is part of the job) Has strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written It's advantageous if you have an interest in nature or fishing, but your drive and technical interest are what matter most!
