About the Service Technician Role As a Service Technician at Mitutoyo, you will primarily work on-site at customer locations with installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of the company's measuring machines. The role involves ensuring that equipment maintains high precision and operates to specification in the customer's operations. The work is largely field-based and involves travel within Sweden and Norway. You are responsible for planning, carrying out, and completing your assignments, often spanning multiple days per installation. The role involves close customer contact combined with support from a service coordinator and internal technical functions. Your main responsibilities: Perform installation, calibration, and preventive maintenance of measuring machines at customer sites. Measure and analyze machine status and adjust according to technical specifications. Carry out repairs and equipment restoration as needed. Prepare and deliver measurement and service reports upon completion of assignments. Execute assignments independently from start to finish in close dialogue with the customer. About You We are looking for someone with several years of experience in a technical role, strong technical interest, and good mechanical understanding. You have relevant technical education at least at upper secondary level and communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. The role also requires a valid driver's license (Category B). To succeed in the role, we see that you are self-driven and comfortable planning and managing your work independently. You are meticulous and quality-conscious with a strong technical interest and a desire to understand how technology works. Since you work closely with customers, you are service-oriented, communicative, and have a solution-focused approach. Key requirements: Several years of experience in a technical role with strong technical interest and good mechanical understanding. Relevant technical education at upper secondary level or higher. Strong skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Valid driver's license (Category B). Meritorious qualifications: Experience in measurement technology. Background in manufacturing or mechanical industry. Previous work as a traveling service technician. Experience with installation, maintenance, or service of technical equipment.
