Service Technician for Industrial Company in Eskilstuna

About the Position We are seeking a technician with vehicle experience who wants to take the next step beyond the workshop for a large international industrial company in Eskilstuna. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys combining hands-on mechanical work with technical documentation and problem-solving. The assignment involves working closely with technical writers to develop and describe service and repair methods for heavy vehicles and construction machinery. Your day-to-day work alternates between hands-on prototype work and reviewing and improving technical instructions. You contribute your vehicle technical expertise and ensure that methods work in practice, from a mechanic's perspective. The client is a world-leading manufacturer of construction machinery with operations and service organizations globally. Start date is by agreement. The assignment begins as a consultant through Cleverex Bemanning with potential for permanent employment down the line. The work involves collecting data, conducting method studies, verifying work steps, and assessing technical time requirements. The role involves many contact points, both internally and externally. You will also: • Develop and improve service and repair methods and instructions for the aftermarket. • Support product development projects with expertise in serviceability and maintenance. • Plan and conduct development of service procedures and time studies. • Design and validate special tools and workshop solutions. • Collaborate with technical writers to ensure accurate and high-quality service documentation. • Drive new work methods by exploring and implementing digital technology such as AI, VR, and other innovative solutions. • Work closely with designers, product specialists, and other stakeholders within the organization. Your Profile • Experience from the mechanic profession, heavy vehicles, service technology, field technician work, construction machinery, or production engineering • Strong ability to read and understand 2D and 3D drawings • Strong technical understanding and interest in developing efficient service solutions. • Swedish and English, both spoken and written Meritorious: • CAD and/or PDM systems. • Hydraulics as well as electrical and electronic systems. • Engines, transmissions, or other drivetrain components. The role requires a structured and methodical person who enjoys switching between hands-on work and a desk environment. You have a clear interest in vehicles, are thorough, pedagogical, and accustomed to thinking in logical steps. We see that you enjoy working with tools and want to influence how service processes are designed.
