Botanica Trädgården in Gothenburg is an administration within Västra Götalandsregionen. Description We are now seeking reinforcement for the Technology, Service and Arboretum unit. The Technology and Service group is tasked with supporting core operations in our garden. Right now is an exciting time at Botanica. We have just moved into the first phase of our new beautiful greenhouses. The remaining parts and new visitor center will be completed in 2028, with a planned public opening in 2030. Technology and Service is responsible for, among other things, facility maintenance, machine and equipment maintenance, carpentry/painting, maintenance of irrigation systems both indoors and outdoors, large-scale composting, and grounds care. You will be part of a team of approximately six employees. We work both independently and together to solve operational tasks in the best way possible. Work Tasks You will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining the garden's irrigation systems as well as parts of the irrigation systems in the greenhouses. Your responsibilities will also include the garden's pumps and a number of ponds. You will also maintain contact with external suppliers and workshops. The unit has a broad mandate, and we often help each other across professional areas. Qualifications Qualification Requirements: We are seeking someone who is trained as a plumbing technician or has equivalent education, as well as relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned work areas. The following qualifications/experience are considered advantageous: Experience from the green industry Experience with greenhouse cultivation, irrigation technology, and other greenhouse technology Experience with carpentry/painting Experience with vehicle mechanics Lift certification types 1-3, A+B Since the role includes administrative tasks, such as ordering and purchasing, you need to have basic computer skills. To succeed as a service technician with us, you are committed, organized, and thorough. You enjoy varying work tasks, can quickly shift focus, and can work at a high pace without compromising quality. Together with the unit, you prioritize work based on operational needs. You have a clear safety mindset and take responsibility for your work. We place great importance on personal suitability. A B-category driver's license is a requirement.
