Räddningstjänsten Sydost has been a municipal federation since January 1, 2023, responsible for emergency services for approximately 180,000 residents in Borgholm, Emmaboda, Högsby, Kalmar, Mönsterås, Mörbylånga, Nybro, Oskarshamn, and Torsås municipalities. We employ 560 staff members, of whom 370 are on-call firefighters. Our operations are based at 22 on-call stations and four full-time stations. Our mission is primarily to provide equivalent and satisfactory protection against accidents concerning people's lives and health, as well as property and the environment. Our work is directed by the political board, which decides on budget, goals, and principal administrative matters. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking an engaged and solution-oriented service technician who wants to join our team. The role of Service Technician is a position responsible for operating the training and exercise facility Ebbetorp. The assignment involves keeping the facility in operational and well-functioning condition and handling preparations and restoration for training and exercises. As a service technician, you will be supported by the Operations Manager regarding planning, implementation, and follow-up of the facility's operations. Job responsibilities include, among others: Collaborate in planning maintenance and operations work • Inventory of materials and equipment • Preparations and restoration of training exercises • Daily service in connection with training • Implementation of projects and improvement work • Ensuring order, safety, and function at the exercise field The position requires close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to plan ahead effectively. QUALIFICATIONS Formal Requirements • BC driver's license • Experience operating heavy vehicles • Upper secondary education or equivalent qualification • Good knowledge of equality and non-discrimination • Broad technical competence • Welder qualification Merits • Experience working in emergency services, for example as a firefighter (full-time or part-time), or other equivalent education • Loader operator certificate • Forklift certificate class A • Experience working on exercise fields or training facilities • Experience with pedagogical work or educational activities • Project management • Good computer skills, particularly with the Office suite Personal Qualities We are looking for a person who: • Is responsible and has good prioritization skills • Is calm, structured, and solution-focused • Thrives in a dynamic environment and has good flexibility • Can work both independently and as part of a team • Has high service standards and professional conduct when dealing with internal and external customers Employment Type: Permanent position.
