Are you a practical problem-solver with a strong technical interest and experience in mechanical maintenance? Our client Paxxo in Malmö is seeking a service technician. You will have a key role where you are responsible for ongoing service, troubleshooting, and repairs of production machinery in a rotating 3-shift operation. We are looking for someone with a good understanding of mechanics, basic electrical knowledge, and who enjoys working both independently and in a team.
As a person, you are a calm and methodical problem-solver who maintains focus even under pressure. You take great personal responsibility for your routines, while also having excellent teamwork skills and a curiosity to further develop your technical knowledge. You should be comfortable working independently, taking responsibility, and adhering to agreed-upon schedules and routines. PAXXO has a proprietary machine park optimized to manufacture the company's unique products. As a service technician, you will have a broad and exciting role where your main responsibility is to ensure that production runs optimally. Together with the rest of the service team, you will work on everything from emergency service to scheduled maintenance on our production equipment. The position also includes ordering spare parts and other supplies. The position is based on 3-shift work with rotation between one week morning shift, one week afternoon shift, and one week night shift. On-call duty may be included further down the line, approximately one weekend per month. In this recruitment, Paxxo is collaborating with Randstad. Responsibilities
Perform ongoing service, troubleshooting, and repairs on production machinery.
Replace sensors, simple components, and handle basic electrical troubleshooting.
Perform mechanical repairs during downtime.
Document completed work in the maintenance system (IDUS – can be learned on-site).
Collaborate with operators, production, and the rest of the maintenance team.
Qualifications
B-class driver's license.
Experience as a service technician, maintenance technician, industrial mechanic, or similar.
Good understanding of mechanics and strong ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, ability to read simple electrical schematics, replace sensors, and troubleshoot simple faults.
Knowledge of pneumatics.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and simple technical documentation.
Strong Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, so that instructions, drawings, and safety procedures can be understood and documented correctly.
Meritorious
Experience working in maintenance systems.
Experience from manufacturing or plastics industry, packaging machinery, or process technology.
Experience with Lean or continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, etc.).
Experience with machinery installations or relocation of production lines.
