Service Worker, Väst-Teg & Teg Care and Residential Housing

Elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource in proximity and collaboration that frees and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life. Väst-Teg's care and residential housing is a newly built municipal residence located in Väst-Teg. The residence opened in fall 2024. In total, there are 120 apartments distributed across 12 units, with each unit consisting of 10 apartments. Each unit has its own spacious balcony. On the ground floor there is a café and a glass-enclosed patio. Our facilities also include a production kitchen. We are now seeking several service workers for our residence! Your responsibilities To enable our care staff to focus more on care itself, we are looking for you to handle the surrounding tasks that are also part of our care and residential housing. Work tasks may include: Cleaning residents' rooms Cleaning common areas, the unit's staff room, and laundry/washing area Laundry Helping with goods intake and distribution Kitchen and food handling, meal service, and dishwashing Social activities About you As a person, you have the ability to prioritize and work independently while being thorough and service-oriented in your work. You enjoy having contact with people during your workday and get along well with others. The work as a service worker is an active job where lifting and transferring occur daily; good physical condition is therefore required to handle the tasks. We place great importance on personal suitability. Requirements Experience in facility maintenance/cleaning Good knowledge of the Swedish language to be able to communicate with residents, relatives, and colleagues Meritorious Training/experience as a service worker Welcome to apply!
