At the operating department at Sunderby Hospital, we work in teams around the patient before, during, and after surgery. We are now looking for a colleague for our new Operations Service function, a role for you who enjoys structure, service, and creating good conditions for others. Through your efforts, materials will be gathered and ready before operations, so that operating room personnel can focus on the patient and the work in the operating room. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with upper secondary education or other training and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and the ability to read, understand, and follow routines, pick lists, and instructions. We also see that you have experience in practical work where accuracy, organization, planning, and collaboration are important to succeed in the assignment. It is meritorious if you have training in care and health services, for example as a nursing assistant, or training and experience in supplies, logistics, or service. If you have knowledge of material handling, warehouse work, or logistics in a healthcare environment, that is also an advantage. We appreciate it if you have experience working in digital systems related to planning, inventory, or healthcare operations. Previous experience from healthcare, operating room operations, supplies, logistics, or service is meritorious, as is experience from operations where the work requires flexibility, the ability to prioritize, and the ability to handle changes during the workday. What You'll Be Working With At the operating department at Sunderby Hospital, we work in teams around the patient before, during, and after surgery. In the Operations Service role, you contribute to creating structure and foresight in daily operations by preparing materials for scheduled surgeries. Review today's operating schedule and current pick lists. Gather materials and equipment from storage for each operation. Ensure that materials are ready when the operating room is to be prepared and set up. Prepare materials for upcoming operations during the day. Ensure that materials for the first operations the next day are fully picked before the end of the workday. Notify and report material shortages or clarifications in a timely manner. The role involves close collaboration with operating room nurses, nursing assistants, and other professionals in the department. You will not be working with sterile procedures, patient care, or medical assessments.
