Central Operating Room is Östersund Hospital's large operating department with 11 operating theaters where we conduct operations in orthopedics, surgery, urology, gynecology, and otolaryngology with a mix of routine and advanced surgery. We operate 24/7, handling both planned and emergency operations for patients of all ages. With us, you are part of the central operating room team, together with doctors, anesthesia nurses, operating room nurses, and nursing assistants. JOB DUTIES As a service worker, you work in close collaboration with the care staff in the Central Operating Room and help enable care personnel to focus on their care-related tasks. Dishwashing and cleaning in the kitchen, restocking various stations in the department, cleaning operating tables and lead aprons, unpacking supplies, changing protective gowns, and more. The work is varied and service-oriented, with the goal of providing the best possible support to the central operating room operations. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, at least 18 years old, and has completed upper secondary education. You are flexible, solution-focused, and thrive in a role where you take responsibility and can work independently. You need to be able to plan, organize, and prioritize your work tasks efficiently. To provide good service, it is important that you have a professional demeanor and appreciate collaboration with others. You need to be able to read, write, speak, and understand Swedish at a level that ensures patient safety. The work is mobile and involves some lifting, which requires good physical capability. You also have very good computer skills and are comfortable managing documentation and orders digitally. As a person, you are social and outgoing, and you see it as natural to be involved in developing both your own work and the group's work. You are responsible, curious, and eager to learn more areas within the service field. You thrive with varied work tasks and find it easy to switch between different work activities. A careful working approach, where the patient's and customer's experience is in focus, is self-evident to you. You value good collaborations and positive relationships with colleagues in your daily work. Experience working in a central operating room, good hygiene awareness, carefulness, and other service roles with customer contact are merits. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. Employment form: Fixed-term employment. Duration: 3-6 months, start date: By agreement, end date: 2026-12-31.
