WORK TASKS As a sports facilities worker, you will together with your colleagues be responsible for maintenance and upkeep of sports facilities, including ice rinks, football fields, artificial turf fields, and track and field facilities. The role also includes maintenance of machinery. In your daily work, you will work closely with sports clubs and meet club leaders, children, and young people. Scheduled work hours day/evening, every day of the year. Your main work tasks will be: • Facility maintenance such as operating ice machines, snow removal, grass care, artificial turf maintenance, etc. • Operations and maintenance work on sports facilities and machinery • Club support • Contact with teachers, club leaders, parents, and children. We work both indoors and outdoors. This position is a temporary assignment from October 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with relevant education for the position and experience working with sports facilities and club services. Your background is as a technician, groundskeeper, machine operator, or other background in sports and service that the employer deems appropriate. You can operate various types of machinery/tractors, preferably with knowledge of servicing different machines. You have experience with and training on ice machines as well as small machines such as trimmers, chainsaws, and hot work. You have basic IT skills and computer literacy. Knowledge of sound, lighting, and LED screens is a merit. To thrive in this role, you need to be positive, service-oriented, responsible, and have a very good sense of organization and order. You have good cooperation skills and find it easy to meet different types of people. You must have a very good ability to find solutions and enjoy a workplace where there are always tasks to tackle during both summer and winter. You should be able to work both in a team and independently. We are looking for someone who has a good ability to find solutions and personal initiative to see what needs to be done at the workplace.
