Job Description As a dining service assistant at Sahlgrenska Hospital, you will contribute to delivering high-quality meals. You will be an important part of serving delicious, safe, and healthy meals to patients and visitors at the hospital. Your work tasks are varied and are primarily performed in our lunch restaurant, where you will also perform simple food preparation and preparation tasks. Examples of work tasks include: Serving in the lunch restaurant Preparation of salad buffet and bread Support with cooking lunch dishes Cash handling and customer contact Dishes and cleaning Work hours are scheduled during daytime, Monday through Friday. This position is an hourly employment, which means the employment rate varies based on operational needs. Qualifications We are looking for you with a completed upper secondary education in restaurant and food or equivalent vocational training. You have several years of experience from restaurant work, preferably in large-scale kitchens, where serving and light food preparation tasks have occurred. Further, you communicate fluently in Swedish in speech and writing and can easily communicate with customers and coworkers as well as follow and understand written and verbal work instructions. Since kitchen work is physically demanding, you need to have the physical ability to walk and stand throughout the workday, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive work tasks. Over the coming years, our Meals operations will be digitalized, which requires that you are comfortable using digital tools.
