Job Description As a Business Analyst, you will work at the intersection of operations, data, and development. You will work with health data throughout the entire process – from identifying information needs and extracting data to data processing, quality assurance, and analysis. Through your work, you will create the conditions for data-driven planning, management, operational development, and medical research by making health data accessible, analyzing it, and ensuring its quality. The role involves close collaboration with managers, operational representatives, researchers, and technical specialists to develop solutions that support the organization's goals, priorities, and long-term development. Your responsibilities include, among other things: perform qualified data extractions and data processing develop analyses and decision support for planning, monitoring, and operational development identify information needs of operational units and researchers and translate them into usable data foundations develop approaches for efficient and secure use of health data collaborate with statisticians, BI developers, and other specialists on analysis and information solutions You will work with data from the region's information environments and use SQL and Power Query for data extraction, processing, and analysis. The role requires analytical ability, technical understanding, and the ability to translate insights into practical solutions. You will serve as a bridge between operational needs and available technical capabilities, guiding operations and managers on how data and analyses can be used to make well-founded decisions. A central part of the assignment is providing qualified support to research and medical development. You will collaborate with researchers on data extraction, processing, and quality assurance of health data, and contribute to developing efficient working methods for research. Workgroup The Data and Analysis Unit is part of the region's development function and consists of approximately 40 employees with expertise in analytics, statistics, operational development, production development, information management, and digitalization. You will become part of a multidisciplinary team where business analysts, statisticians, BI developers, and development leaders work together closely with healthcare operations and research environments. Together, we develop data-driven decision support and working methods that strengthen planning, management, operational development, and research. The work is characterized by collaboration, knowledge exchange, and a shared ambition to create value for healthcare and the region's inhabitants. With us, you will work on complex and socially important issues where health data contributes to better decisions, increased knowledge, and improved care. About You We are looking for someone with an academic degree of at least three years in fields such as statistics, data science, systems science, systems development, industrial economics, engineering, or another relevant area, or equivalent competence acquired in other ways. You have several years of experience in qualified analysis, development, or operational management work and thrive at the intersection of operations, data, and technology. You have a strong ability to understand the information needs of operations and researchers and translate them into analyses, data foundations, and solutions that create value. You have good technical understanding and experience working with SQL, Power Query, and Power BI or equivalent tools. You are experienced in working with large datasets and ensure that analyses, data extractions, and reports maintain high quality. Experience with health data, research support, or work within healthcare is a merit. As a person, you are analytical, structured, and quality-conscious. You work independently and take responsibility for driving your work forward, while you enjoy collaborating with colleagues from different professions. You find it easy to build trusting relationships and can communicate analyses and complex information in a clear and pedagogical manner. We also see that you have a good overview and the ability to understand the connections between operations, information, technology, and strategic goals. You are driven by developing the use of data and health data to contribute to better decisions, operational development, and medical research. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
