The Finance Department is responsible for and coordinates financial administration, accounting, planning and monitoring matters, as well as procurement and purchasing matters for the entire university. The Finance Department has about 50 employees who work with internal governance and control, planning processes, accounting, and procurement.
The Procurement Section is one of five sections within the Finance Department and consists of five employees and a manager. We are now looking for a procurement officer who wants to contribute and develop together with competent and engaged colleagues. We are located in centrally situated, bright offices on Rosenlundsgatan, next to Feskekörka.
Job Duties
The Procurement Section conducts all procurements above the direct procurement threshold. Procurements include both framework agreements and purchase agreements, for example goods, services, and advanced research equipment. The work is conducted in both Swedish and English. The university uses the procurement support tool TendSign and the e-commerce system Visma Proceedo.
In your role as a procurement officer, you are responsible for independently managing procurements through the entire process, from needs and market analysis to procurement strategy, implementation, and follow-up. You serve as qualified support to operations in procurement and contract matters and contribute to the development of strategic purchasing work.
The role also includes:
Providing guidance on issues related to procurements and contracts
Collaborating with departments, faculties, and other units within the university
Promoting purchases that are sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective
Conducting internal training at the university
Coordinating and managing multiple different procurement processes and projects simultaneously
Other tasks may also occur and the content of the position may change over time.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have:
A relevant university degree or university college education in law, economics, procurement, or public procurement, or other work experience that the employer considers equivalent
Several years of experience with qualified procurement work in the public sector and thorough knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU), including experience of independently managing large procurements
Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish orally and in writing, as well as good knowledge of English
Merits

Experience with facility management procurement
Experience with IT procurement
Experience with procurement of research equipment within Life Science
