Senior Test Automation Engineer

We are seeking a senior test automation engineer for a two-year assignment in the public sector in Stockholm. You will build and further develop test automation for a video platform and associated alarm functions. The environment is complex with distributed systems, real-time data, video streams, and business-critical workflows. You will be part of a development team of approximately 18 people and work closely with tech leads, developers, and product owners. Quick Facts Start: September 1, 2026 Scope: Full-time (100%) Location: Stockholm, 100% on-site Duration: 2 years (option for an additional 1+1 years) Application Deadline: August 7, 2026 Responsibilities Establish and further develop test automation for video platform and alarm functions. Develop automated tests for GUI, APIs, integrations, and regression. Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. Apply a risk-based approach and identify quality risks in distributed systems. Communicate technical risks and quality aspects to both team and business. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in test automation (development, maintenance, and further development of automated tests for web or system applications using frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent). 2+ years of experience in test automation in team-based system development with Git and modern development processes. Experience independently establishing, further developing, or maintaining a test automation framework with programming in TypeScript, JavaScript, and/or C#. 2+ years of experience with automated E2E and API tests against REST services and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written. Merits Experience with test strategy, test architecture, or technical leadership in testing. Test automation in complex, distributed, or integration-intensive systems. Experience with real-time video/streaming, security (OAuth2/OIDC), or load and performance testing.
