About the position
Professionals Nord is seeking, in collaboration with our client, a Technical Project Manager for their operations in Västerås.
Our client develops advanced automation and information systems for container cranes and terminals worldwide. The organization is characterized by an entrepreneurial approach where many projects are customer-specific and where employees have great influence over both technology choices and working methods.
In the role, you will come in after the sales phase and are responsible for converting the customer's wishes into a clear technical delivery.
You work closely with customers, sales organization, engineers, and commissioning teams to ensure that the project scope is defined early, that activities are planned and monitored, and that delivery occurs according to set objectives regarding time, quality, and functionality.
You will initially be employed by Professionals Nord and work as a consultant at our client during the first year. Responsibilities
In the role as Technical Project Manager, you will:
Be responsible for the technical delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle
Understand and concretize the customer's needs and ensure that the project scope is defined and anchored early
Structure and break down system architecture into clear activities and work packages
Develop and monitor project plans and coordinate activities between different technical disciplines
Lead technical discussions with customers, internal stakeholders, and the commissioning organization
Manage technical risks and ensure that deliveries meet requirements for functionality, quality, and cybersecurity
Contribute to the development of working methods, documentation, and project governance
We are looking for you who
Have a civil engineering or technical engineering degree in for example automation, computer science, electronics, or equivalent
Have several years of experience in technical project management within software, automation, or complex system delivery
Have experience planning, prioritizing, and driving activities in a project environment
Have a good understanding of PLC-based systems or other industrial automation
Have experience working according to gate processes or similar project models
Speak and write fluent Swedish and English
As a person, you are self-driven, communicative, and solution-oriented. You thrive in a high-paced environment where much needs to be explored, anchored, and driven forward. Furthermore, you are curious, unpretentious, and have the ability to create structure while being pragmatic and focused on delivering results.
