Senior ROP Engineer

We are seeking a Senior ROP Risks & Opportunities Engineer to support risk management activities on complex industrial projects. Role Overview The ROP Engineer is responsible for identifying, analysing, and monitoring project risks and opportunities throughout the full project lifecycle. The role ensures risk management is fully integrated into planning, cost control, scheduling, and reporting processes, enabling informed decision-making and safeguarding project objectives. Key Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of the Project Risk Management Plan. Identify, assess, and categorize risks and opportunities in coordination with discipline leads. Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring alignment with the WBS, CBS, and project schedule. Facilitate risk workshops and stakeholder interviews to capture and validate risk inputs. Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis (QRA), including Monte Carlo simulations (e.g., Primavera Risk Analysis). Define, assign, and monitor mitigation and opportunity enhancement actions. Prepare periodic risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal and client reviews. Ensure integration of risk exposure with cost contingency and schedule buffers. Monitor emerging risks and capture lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle. Profile Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management within industrial or large-scale projects. Solid knowledge of risk management standards (PMI, ISO 31000, AACEI). Experience with QRA tools (Primavera Risk Analysis, @Risk, or similar). Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and risk management platforms (ARM, Safran Risk, or equivalent). Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and facilitation skills. Fluent in English. RMP or equivalent certification (desirable).
