We are seeking an independent senior project manager for IT workplace solutions to a region in the Stockholm area, for a larger IT program within healthcare. You will lead and conduct investigations as well as establish and further develop IT workplace services in a complex and business-critical healthcare environment. You will work closely with operations, IT, operations providers, and program management to ensure sustainable, secure, and user-friendly solutions tailored to healthcare needs. The assignment requires a good understanding of regulatory requirements, care-focused working methods, and high demands for availability and information security. Quick facts about the assignment Period: August 24, 2026 – August 23, 2027 (with option to extend for 6 months). Scope: 100% (employment level may be adjusted during the contract period based on project progress). Location: Stockholm. Hybrid arrangement by agreement with the client. What you will do Conduct preliminary studies and investigations related to IT workplace and user-centered services. Develop target vision, roadmap, and decision-making materials. Lead consolidation, establishment, and implementation of IT workplace services. Coordinate operational requirements, technical requirements, and security requirements, and coordinate stakeholders within operations, IT, security, and external vendors. Ensure structure for processes, governance, and documentation. Manage risks, dependencies, and escalations within the program. Contribute to change management and implementation activities and ensure handover to operations and support organization. Requirement Profile (Mandatory Requirements) To be suitable for this role, you need to have competency level 5 as well as: At least 10 years of experience as a project manager in complex IT environments. At least 5 years of experience with major IT transformation programs. At least 2 years of experience from the healthcare sector or another regulated business. At least 2 years of documented experience with IT workplace services (such as Microsoft 365 or other client platforms) and digital workplace at a larger employer (at least 500 employees). Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish. Meritorious (Desirable Requirements) It is an advantage if you have experience with: Conducting investigations/preliminary studies involving both operations and IT (at least 3 years). Application packaging, via projects or other working methods. A reference assignment involving establishment or management of IT workplace services, performed for the public sector or entities working with the public sector, in some part during the last 5 years. About the Process The assignment is filled through a dynamic procurement system (DIS). The evaluation is based on price and quality, where a well-described reference carries significant weight – be prepared to describe a relevant reference assignment with us (maximum 2 A4 pages). The client may contact the reference for verification purposes. If the reference assignment was performed for the same client as this assignment, the reference person must be independent from the client. Assignment will be awarded preliminarily in mid-August and agreement is signed immediately (no contract suspension applies), with assignment start on August 24.
