Project Manager in Metalwork, Steel and Construction Bergvik & Partners is seeking an experienced and business-driven project manager for an established metalworking operation with strong expertise in structural steelwork, steel, glass, and specialized construction. We are looking for someone who wants to take clear overall responsibility for their projects, from handover and planning through production, assembly, finances, and final invoicing. About the Role As a project manager, you will drive multiple projects in parallel and be responsible for their complete execution. You work closely with customers, construction managers, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal departments for design, manufacturing, and assembly. The role suits you if you are used to making decisions, solving problems, and driving work forward. You need to understand both the technical and commercial aspects of a construction project and feel clear responsibility for the project's outcome. Your main responsibilities are to: plan and drive projects from handover to final delivery take responsibility for schedules, quality, finances, and results coordinate design, procurement, manufacturing, and assembly maintain ongoing dialogue with customers, clients, and construction management monitor costs, forecasts, and margins handle change orders, documentation, and invoicing plan resources and create good foresight identify risks and independently drive problems to resolution set clear requirements for internal and external parties What We're Looking For You have experience as a project manager, foreman, or site manager in metalwork, steel, glass, construction, or related contracting. Experience with structural steelwork and steel constructions is highly valuable, but the most important thing is that you have technical understanding, business acumen, and the ability to take responsibility for the entire project. You need to be comfortable working with project finances and understand how planning, procurement, resource allocation, change order management, and invoicing affect profitability.
