Senior Control System Engineer

In your role as a control system engineer, you will participate in project teams working on station investments, collectively responsible for achieving project goals. You will primarily be responsible for control system matters in projects, from the development of procurement documents to project completion. You will also work with requirements management toward suppliers and contractors. Your responsibilities include ensuring that systems are built according to our contracts and technical guidelines. You may participate in testing conducted by the construction contractor, both at the manufacturer and at the facility, to ensure correct quality. You will also participate with the construction contractor during the energization of the station's new system components. You will participate in updates to technical guidelines for control systems and provide technical support to adjacent units with control system questions. The work also involves making assessments between different technical solutions together with our contractors, maintaining schedules and deadlines, and maintaining good relationships with multiple stakeholders. You will be part of the Control System AC Project North or Control System AC Project South unit, which currently consists of approximately 10 employees and 12 consultants whose main task is to support Swedish National Grid's investment activities with technical expertise and serve as the requirements owner for the technical design of our facilities. About You Required Qualifications To thrive in this role, we want you to have a strong interest in this technical field and be ambitious in both deepening and broadening your expertise within the area. The role requires that you are thorough, structured, and value good collaboration. Together with your colleagues, you tackle complex problems and work solution-oriented with curiosity and engagement. We want you to have a vocational engineering diploma, civil engineering degree, or university engineering degree in electrical power, energy systems, or equivalent. You may also have acquired relevant competence in other ways that the employer deems equivalent. We also want you to have: Excellent communication skills and express yourself well in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing. Driver's license category B. Several years of experience working with control systems for transmission networks at 130–400 kV or hydroelectric power stations (>40 MW production/station). We consider it meritorious if you have good knowledge of relay protection systems for transmission networks, control equipment, remote control, automation, auxiliary power systems, and project work. Good to Know This is a permanent position. Work locations are Sundbyberg, Västerås, Gothenburg, Sundsvall, Luleå, or Sollefteå, but remote placement can also be discussed.
