Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced senior design engineer in electrical engineering who wants to contribute to the development of modern energy systems. In this role, you will take responsibility for technical solutions from concept to final delivery, work cross-functionally with project managers, technicians, and customers, and contribute to our continued growth in electrical engineering and renewable energy. Responsibilities - Develop designs and technical solutions for switchgear, transformer stations, battery storage, and other grid components. - Create and review electrical design drawings, cable routing diagrams, schematic diagrams, and specification documents in accordance with applicable standards and regulations. - Collaborate with project managers, service technicians, and suppliers to ensure that designs are feasible, cost-effective, and on schedule. - Participate in quotes and technical studies, and provide support during delivery and commissioning activities. - Perform technical calculations, sizing, and verification, and document results and supporting materials for quality assurance. - Contribute to continuous improvement work, standardization of solutions, and development of internal processes and templates. - Participate in risk analyses and ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements, environmental, and occupational health regulations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree or master's degree in electrical engineering, electrotechnology, or equivalent technical background. - Several years of experience in electrical design within power grids, switchgear, transformer stations, or energy storage systems, preferably in a project environment. - Good knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and requirements within electrical engineering and electrical installation. - Experience working with CAD and calculation tools, and experience managing technical documentation digitally. - Experience leading technical reviews and collaborating with suppliers and contractors. - Good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. - Valid driver's license (category B) and ability to travel to project sites as needed. Meritorious qualifications: - Certifications in electrical safety (e.g., ESA), experience with HMI/SCADA, or knowledge of battery and storage systems. - Experience with international projects or work in cross-border teams.
