Senior IT Operations Engineer Värnamo

We are now seeking a Senior IT Operations Engineer who wants to support our operations in Sweden while being part of our Nordic team. As a Senior IT Operations Engineer, you will support the technical infrastructure for our offices and production facilities in Sweden. You are responsible for advanced technical operations, including administration of Windows servers, advanced network management, and Tier 3-level incident handling. To ensure full operational continuity, the role strategically combines engineering work with a practical, operational approach, where tasks such as hardware and software installation as well as daily support are included. This is a dynamic and business-critical role that suits a driven person who thrives with variety and who uses both creativity and problem-solving skills to create a functional, stable, and efficient digital workplace. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Ownership: Manage operations and maintenance of local IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and physical IT systems Senior Level Escalation and Troubleshooting: Serve as an escalation point for complex issues related to IT systems, hardware, software, and permissions Systems Administration: Manage cloud-based platforms for identity and digital workplace Monitoring: Work proactively with systems monitoring to identify and address performance issues in a timely manner Security and Compliance: Ensure all devices meet our security requirements and policies Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of infrastructure and support processes Travel: While most tasks can be solved remotely, some travel may occur to support our operations in Sweden. We value in-person meetings and would like to see the team meet on-site for important occasions About You To succeed in this role, you have strong collaboration skills and a solution-oriented work approach. You are skilled at identifying root causes of problems and contribute creative solutions. You communicate actively with the team to jointly create effective solutions that ensure stable, secure, and efficient IT services. Experience: Several years of experience in IT infrastructure, IT operations, or systems administration Networking: Strong practical experience troubleshooting network equipment and connectivity issues in enterprise environments Cloud Services: Good knowledge of Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and their integrations Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Swedish and English Who Are We at DS Smith?
