Main Responsibilities
As a handler, you will participate in the agency's security work and come into contact with both strategic and operational issues, particularly in the area of exposure of security-sensitive activities (previously referred to as SUA). You are responsible for ensuring that documents produced in the process are handled correctly according to legislation and for maintaining the internal document inventories and registers created with regard to exposure of security-sensitive activities (ESV). You support operations with methodological guidance and independently handle cases within your work area. You will also conduct security clearance interviews, manage register controls, provide security protection training to staff, conduct supplier checks according to applicable procedures, and carry out ongoing work with analysis, planning, and monitoring of security protection tasks. In due course, we see you actively working to develop our methods and processes.
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in the field of security or other education combined with experience that we consider relevant for the role
Several years of experience in handling and/or working with exposure of security-sensitive activities (ESV/SUA)
Good ability to express yourself clearly in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious
Experience conducting security clearance interviews or other semi-structured interviews or conversations
Experience in security work, preferably within defense-related or law enforcement organizations or agencies
Experience serving at Must or other Swedish Armed Forces units
Education in intelligence or security services
Experience drafting and writing governing and supporting documents
Personal Qualities
The role also requires the ability to handle and analyze various types of information in a structured manner. You thrive in a developing environment and appreciate variety in working both independently and in collaboration with others. To succeed in the role, you also need a strong ability to build trusting relationships, enjoy personal interaction, and be curious and attentive in conversations.
To be suitable for the position, you need to be analytical, driven, and have a strong interest in security protection services. The work also requires you to have high integrity and be initiative-taking with sound judgment. You are thorough, responsible, and structured in your work. You have good problem-solving abilities.
