Here you'll work on projects ranging from major infrastructure investments to local assignments within industry and municipalities. The Role of Geotechnical Engineer As a Geotechnical Engineer, you'll work both analytically and practically. You'll be involved in the entire chain – from analysis to fieldwork and on to technical solutions. Your tasks will include: - Plan and coordinate geotechnical investigations - Perform stability and settlement calculations - Prepare technical descriptions and reports - Support construction and project managers - Participate in fieldwork related to projects The position involves some travel, averaging approximately 5–6 overnight stays per month. About the Team The Umeå team consists of two road and water engineers specializing in geotechnics (both junior and more experienced), complemented by several field resources with a geoscience background who work extensively with field data collection and management. The group also includes a more junior apprentice developing within the field. Work is conducted in close collaboration both within the team and with geotechnical engineers at other locations, providing support, knowledge exchange, and breadth of projects. We're Looking for You With: Higher education or civil engineering degree in Roads and Water (preferably with a focus on geotechnics), Geotechnics, Geoscience, or Building Technology with courses in Geotechnics Valid B-level driver's license Strong knowledge of Swedish and English Local connection to the region Meritorious: Experience with AutoCAD Experience with GIS About Our Client Tyréns is one of Sweden's leading consulting firms in geotechnics.
