About the Role We are now seeking a Senior Embedded Developer with a focus on the defense sector. With us, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement high-quality software solutions in technically advanced and security-critical defense projects. In the role of Embedded Developer, you will work across the entire development chain and contribute your technical expertise to advanced projects within defense and security. As part of the AFRY team, you will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects, both internally in our product development operations and with our customers in the defense sector. You will, among other things: Develop and implement software solutions for embedded systems, primarily in C/C++ and Python Work in agile and cross-functional teams in close collaboration with software and hardware engineers Participate in the entire development process – from requirements analysis and design through implementation, testing, and verification Work on defense-related projects, both with customers and in-house Become part of AFRY's large and competent Embedded team with excellent opportunities for professional development Qualifications We are looking for someone with a senior profile in embedded development and a clear interest in security-critical systems. You have several years of experience with embedded systems and feel confident taking technical responsibility in complex environments. We would like to see that you have: Deep understanding of Embedded Linux Experience with or understanding of Yocto Experience in cybersecurity in embedded systems, for example: Encryption Key management Secure boot Very good knowledge of C/C++ Experience with Python is a merit Merit: experience with Qt/QML For this position, it is a requirement that you are fluent in both Swedish and English in speech and writing, as our assignments often involve contact with Swedish customers. Some assignments may also be classified, which means you will undergo security vetting under the Security Protection Act. You are an unpretentious and collaborative person who enjoys sharing your knowledge while being curious to learn from others. You thrive in the consultant role and are motivated by contributing technical excellence and problem-solving abilities in classified environments.
