Senior Controller at the Prosecutor's Office

We are now seeking a senior controller who wants to combine strategic financial management with a forward-looking system change. About the Assignment The Prosecutor's Office is replacing its financial system and needs a senior controller to lead sub-projects in the implementation of a new financial system. Planned start 2026-10-27 and the consulting assignment runs for one year through 2027-10-27 with the possibility of extension to a maximum of two years. The assignment is full-time with placement at the headquarters at Östermalmsgatan in Stockholm. The opportunity for some remote work, two days per week, is available after an introductory period. Travel within Sweden may occur. Your Responsibilities As a controller, in addition to traditional controller work, you will have a central role in the agency's implementation of a new financial system from Unit4 to Raindance with planned go-live at the turn of the year 2027/2028. You will lead and drive sub-projects within the areas of budget, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting. The role includes responsibility for process development, requirements gathering, requirements specification, testing, stakeholder engagement, and training and information initiatives within your area of responsibility. A particular focus will be on developing future processes and system support for budget, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting as well as ensuring appropriate solutions for management information, analysis, and visualization of financial information. As part of the assignment, you will also contribute knowledge and recommendations regarding reporting and BI solutions to ensure efficient and long-term sustainable decision support. Main Responsibilities: Provide support to managers in operations regarding financial matters Compilation and analysis of monthly, interim, and annual financial statements Development of forecasts Prepare financial reports and presentations for organizational management Responsible for specific investigations and preparation of decision support materials within your area of responsibility Actively contribute to the unit's development and improvement work to create clear, appropriate, and effective processes Tasks Related to Financial System Implementation: Plan and conduct training and information initiatives within your area of responsibility Responsible for requirements gathering, requirements analysis, and requirements specification related to budget, forecasting, and reporting processes Evaluate and analyze solutions for reporting, analysis, and visualization of financial information Lead and drive sub-projects within the areas of budget, forecasting, monitoring, and reporting Develop and document future processes, methods, and routines within your area of responsibility Plan, coordinate, and conduct system functionality testing Coordinate dialogue between operations, the project organization, and the system provider Develop reporting structures, key performance indicators, and decision support for financial monitoring Your Qualifications Relevant academic degree Solid relevant professional background as a controller for at least 8 years Experience working with people in management positions Documented experience with implementation, development, and/or migration of financial systems Expertise in requirements gathering and specification regarding financial processes and financial systems Experience with testing or test management in connection with system implementations Consultant must have documented experience developing models for budget, forecasting, financial monitoring, reporting, and decision support Experience with BI, analysis, or reporting tools Competence in change management related to financial processes or system implementations Experience leading workshops and collaborating with operations, managers, project organization, and system providers As a person, you have excellent communication and collaboration skills. You have well-developed problem-solving abilities and are well-versed in processes within the field of operations. You have high competence in digital working methods and excellent knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
