Building Projects Gävleborg manages a large number of projects of varying scope, complexity, and in different environments and operations throughout Gävleborg. Currently underway is the Future Building, one of Region Gävleborg's largest investments ever. Here we are building and developing the healthcare environments of the future at hospitals in Gävle and Hudiksvall. The Future Building encompasses approximately 120,000 square meters of new construction and renovation designed to create space for modern technology, streamlined workflows, and even better care for the region's residents. RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibility as Senior Building Project Manager will be to independently lead, plan, and monitor projects to ensure that regulatory requirements, budget, quality, and environmental standards are met. Projects are driven in close collaboration with internal colleagues such as technical specialists, facility managers, and procurement personnel, as well as with external stakeholders such as municipalities and government authorities. Your main responsibilities • lead large or particularly complex projects • allocate and monitor work within agreed parameters with focus on quality, schedule, and budget • lead and coordinate consultants, contractors, and internal working groups • report to the Building Project Manager. Travel within the region may occur as part of the position. In your role as Senior Building Project Manager you should have • post-secondary education in construction and real estate, or other education or work experience that the employer deems equivalent • at least 10 years of experience with construction projects or other positions that the employer deems equivalent. It is meritorious if you have education in contract law, public procurement regulations (LOU), and/or the building owner's responsibility for workplace safety.
