About the Role
As a senior structural analysis engineer, you will work on technically complex projects where the focus is on analysis, simulation, and verification of structures and mechanical systems. The assignments vary depending on your experience, specialist competence, and ambition, but include strength calculations, FEM analyses, model development, evaluation of results, and technical recommendations to design and development teams.
You will work on assignments with high demands for quality, accuracy, and technical understanding. For the right person, there is an opportunity to take greater technical responsibility, work on more mission-critical projects, and influence both the setup and direction over time. We are looking for someone who truly appreciates technology and would rather spend time on qualified engineering work than internal administration and unnecessary fluff.
Your Background
We are looking for someone with an academic degree in mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, engineering physics, or equivalent, and with at least 5 years of experience in structural analysis and FEM-based computational work. You are used to working independently, understand the role of analysis in the development chain, and can translate theory into practical value in complex project environments.
You have likely worked with structural strength, dynamics, vibrations, fatigue, or similar topics and feel confident in building, conducting, and interpreting analyses. You thrive in technical environments where competence is valued highly and where you can contribute with both specialist knowledge and judgment.
Requirements
Degree in civil engineering or engineering from a university of applied sciences within a relevant technical field
At least 5 years of experience in structural analysis and FEM
Good understanding of strength of materials and mechanics
Experience working on technically advanced development projects
Ability to work independently and take technical responsibility
Good communication skills
Professional proficiency in Swedish and/or English, spoken and written
Meritorious
Experience from the defense industry, automotive industry, aerospace, or other advanced industries
Experience with tools such as Ansys, Abaqus, Nastran, HyperMesh, LS-DYNA, or similar
Knowledge in dynamics, vibrations, fatigue, crash, composites, or non-linear analyses
Programming experience in Python or Matlab
Experience in consulting roles or customer-facing technical work
Experience working in security-classified or regulatory-controlled environments
