Ref: 20261815 Valdemarsro gymnasium is in an exciting development phase and is now seeking an engaged section head for the school's short-term supervision unit. In this role, you will be an important part of the school's management team and work in close collaboration with the deputy rector, where leadership is exercised as a team to ensure cohesive operations between the school's mission and the short-term supervision unit. Together we create an accessible and inclusive environment that promotes users' and students' learning, development, and participation. Responsibilities As section head, you lead, develop, and organize activities within the short-term supervision unit in accordance with LSS regulations. You are responsible for operations, personnel, work environment, finances, and quality, and actively contribute to the continued development of the activity. The assignment includes, among other things: Supervise support pedagogues within the activity Supervise student assistants who work both in the school and within the short-term supervision unit together with the deputy rector Handle employer matters such as collaboration, rehabilitation, and skills supply Plan staffing, resource allocation, and competencies based on the activity's and users' needs Ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with laws, agreements, guidelines, and decisions made Collaborate with guardians, authorities, and other external stakeholders Collaborate with school management, student support services, and other professionals to create a safe and cohesive environment for users and students Drive and develop systematic quality and work environment work Drive activity development and contribute to the activity's strategic development through active participation in the school's management team. You report to the rector and work according to the delegation the rector provides you. Qualifications Requirements: University degree equivalent to 180 credits/bachelor's level and 3 years of experience in a relevant professional field, or other education combined with 8 years of experience in a relevant professional field Management and leadership experience with personnel responsibility that the employer deems relevant Experience working in LSS activities Experience with work environment work Experience with activity development Very good Swedish language skills in speech and writing Good English language skills in speech and writing Good digital competence. Meritorious: Leadership development program/leadership training that the employer deems relevant Experience with adapted upper secondary school and/or collaboration between school and LSS Knowledge of AAC, IBIC, and low-arousal interaction Understanding of political processes and how these are implemented in practice.
