About the job As a section chief in the legal unit at the Claims and Payments Department, you create conditions for active employee engagement through hands-on leadership. You hold operational, personnel, budget, and work environment responsibility for your section. As a member of the unit's management group, you share responsibility for leading and developing the unit together with your management colleagues. You collaborate within and outside the agency to achieve results and create value for our customers. As section chief, you will lead approximately 14 employees, consisting of both lawyers and administrative case handlers. This is a new section that will be part of the legal unit within the Claims and Payments Department. Employees are located at multiple sites, which means you will partly lead remotely. You are therefore expected to exercise hands-on leadership even when you and your employees work in different locations. You report to the unit chief located in Sundbyberg, and you are expected to work closely with the unit chief and the other section chief to achieve operational goals and mission. The position is based in Gävle or Luleå. Everyone who works at Kronofogden contributes to combating crime. Among your employees' work tasks is identifying and preventing attempted criminal activity and reporting suspected crimes to other authorities. About you As a manager at Kronofogden, you are expected to live up to our leadership criteria and employee policy. Being a manager and leader means both that you challenge others and that you yourself can be challenged regarding thinking and working methods. Your qualifications: Degree from a law program with 270 credits (180 points under the old system). Current and relevant work experience with summary proceedings or the Debt Enforcement Code at Kronofogden. It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience from a leadership or coordinating role. About us Kronofogden is a government agency with an important mission. Good to know The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case handler and receive a management assignment for four years. If you are already employed at Kronofogden, you remain in your base position during the assignment period. Travel for work occurs. Kronofogden offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer. Working for the government means you follow the state's core values. Special requirements are also placed on judgment, security awareness, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions in interviews about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also asked to references. We also obtain information about debts registered with Kronofogden, bankruptcy, and business bans. Obtained information is weighed in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position. Employment with us may involve placement in a security clearance. A security clearance with a records check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before the employment decision.
