We are now seeking a Section Manager for Children and Family Assessment in the West/Inner City area. Responsibilities As Section Manager, you are responsible for the social services' authority functions within children and young people. You lead the operations with a focus on quality, development, and sustainable results for the children and families we meet. You have responsibility for operations, finances, personnel, and work environment, and actively work to create a safe, inclusive, and developmental workplace. Together with your Senior Social Worker, you exercise close and trust-based leadership where you support colleagues in their daily work and utilize their competence and experience. An important part of the assignment is developing the operations and creating long-term solutions based on the needs of children and families. You collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and contribute to creating participation, transparency, and good communication within the organization. As Section Manager, you are part of a management group together with four Section Manager colleagues, a planning secretary, and a unit manager. Qualifications We are looking for someone who has: Sociology degree Several years of experience from social work within authority functions Management or leadership experience Good knowledge of legislation and can make decisions based on applicable regulations Worked with authority functions for children and young people and/or foster care It is advantageous if you have: Leadership training Experience in driving quality work Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as Region Skåne, schools, preschools Good knowledge of administration and ability to manage administrative systems connected to the management role Knowledge of MI, Signs of Safety, and ADBB We are looking for someone who is a confident and present leader who builds relationships through trust, clarity, and engagement. You have the ability to create participation and motivation and to lead with focus on both operational goals and colleague development. You are structured, attentive, and communicative and have a natural ability to create good collaborations. About the Workplace Operational Area Individuals and Families is divided into two departments with different assignments and focus areas: Interventions and Assessment. Within the Assessment department, approximately 550 colleagues currently work with assessments and follow-up of interventions directed at both children and adults.
