Our Mission In the national Support and Matching Department, we provide service and support remotely to job seekers. We work with several important areas of responsibility such as job matching, guidance and counseling, as well as decisions on measures for job seekers. Section Manager's Tasks and Responsibilities Your role as section manager involves operational and personnel responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring that the section's results match established goals and expectations. As section manager, you have an important role in creating well-functioning work teams and, together with your approximately 20 employees, driving and developing the operations. You enable good performance, high job satisfaction, and a good work environment by working in accordance with the Swedish Public Employment Service's leadership criteria. You foster a culture characterized by trust, openness, and security. Your work takes place in strong partnership both within and outside your own section and in good cooperation with union representatives. You are part of the unit manager's leadership team and will jointly with this person and the other section managers be responsible for the entire unit's results and development. As a section manager, you are a role model in living the Swedish Public Employment Service's vision and the state's core values. What We Offer This is a permanent full-time position that may be preceded by a six-month probationary period. The work location is Karlskoga. After a few months, once you have learned the operations, there is an opportunity to agree on remote work of up to 49%, provided that the operations allow it. More About Working With Us Basic Requirements for the Position Current experience in a leadership role (continuous assignment, project, work team) of at least 6 months within the Swedish Public Employment Service's operations. Or: Completed the Swedish Public Employment Service's preparatory management program Or: Current experience in a leadership position at an equivalent level with operational and personnel responsibility from another organization for at least 1 year Additional Merits for the Position Good knowledge of labor market issues and the labor market policy mission Experience of working in the public sector and good experience with public authority functions Experience of collaboration and cooperation with suppliers Current experience with employee conversations, salary conversations, development conversations, or similar types of conversations.
