The Infrastructure and Service Administration has an important and visible role in the municipality's development. The Infrastructure Department plans, builds, develops, and manages green, gray, and blue infrastructure – from roads, parks, and natural areas to waterfront environments, geographic information, and construction projects. The department consists of five sections: Streets, Geodata, Landscape and Traffic, Parks and Nature, and Project Management. The assignments span the entire process – from early investigations, design, and procurement to implementation, project management, final inspection, and handover. As Section Manager, you'll have a central role in developing the operation, setting direction, and providing employees with the right conditions to succeed. You ensure that projects are executed in a structured, efficient, and businesslike manner – with focus on quality, comprehensiveness, and social benefit. Responsibilities You'll lead a section with just over 20 engaged and knowledgeable employees and have responsibility for operations, budget, and personnel. The role includes, among other things: leading, coordinating, and developing the section's operations creating clear conditions for employees and projects to succeed ensuring structure, quality, and business efficiency in project implementation developing work methods, processes, and collaboration representing the section in dialogue with internal and external stakeholders. Here you get an assignment with great trust, broad contact networks, and the opportunity to influence projects, work methods, and community development. You're part of the department's management team and actively contribute to the department's development. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for you who has university or higher education within, for example, infrastructure development, construction and civil engineering, or other education with experience that the employer deems equivalent. The role requires several years of experience from infrastructure development processes, construction and infrastructure projects, or other relevant work. We also see that you have experience in management and leadership with personnel responsibility, including management, monitoring, and development of operations. Experience from public or politically governed activities is a merit. Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing as well as a Class B driver's license is required for the position. As a leader, you are clear, confident, and present. You build trust, create confidence, and help people grow through participation, responsibility, and engagement.
