The Vehicle Information Department has an important and exciting assignment. Some examples include managing the national vehicle register, all vehicle-related taxes and fees, vehicle inspections, and information provision where we supply large parts of society with necessary information within the road traffic area.
Over recent years, we have worked on establishing our capabilities in business architecture and agile working methods. We're looking for someone who can take this work to the next level by further developing and refining the foundation and standardizing and developing working methods for an efficient development organization.
Your leadership
As a manager, you're responsible for operations within your section and you actively work with personnel, budget, and work environment matters. You lead and create good conditions for employees in their work and represent the employer. As a manager at the Transport Agency, you actively participate in management group work where you should contribute to developing both your own operations and the Transport Agency in a positive way within the framework of our mission with citizens and business in focus.
You will
lead operations in a development-intensive period and environment on both short and long-term basis
develop and lead employees and work with competency provision and recruitment
further develop the department's working methods toward more agile and efficient application
further develop management systems and processes
be responsible for planning and following up on personnel, finances, operations, and assignments
work both strategically and operatively
work very closely with IT development.
You must have
relevant academic education or other equivalent knowledge/experience that we consider equivalent
experience working as a manager with personnel, work environment, budget, and operational responsibility
experience leading development and change initiatives
experience with management systems and process management
experience with agile development methods and improvement work.
It's a merit if you also have
experience working in a management group
experience with agile frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe, or similar
experience with IT-related development work with multiple development teams.

The employment is permanent with a management assignment for four years, based in Örebro. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee with us, you have the opportunity to work remotely up to three days per week. The department's needs and the nature of the work tasks determine whether and to what extent this is possible. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security vetting with record check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our work tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
