We are now seeking a Section Manager for IT Service Team South, based at our regional office in Malmö. Job Description As Section Manager for IT Service Team South, you will have overall responsibility for personnel, operations, and budget. You will lead a section of approximately 50 employees through three group managers and report to the unit manager. You will be part of the unit's management group, where you collectively take responsibility for operational development, delivery, and long-term direction. You will lead through the group managers and actively work to develop leadership, competence, and working methods. You will drive change initiatives, create structure and clarity, and ensure that the section delivers high-quality and efficient services. Your assignment includes: creating conditions to increase operational productivity and efficiency and contributing to the vision of Better Out ensuring business-focused IT service delivery and user support of high quality developing the section's working methods, competence, and delivery capability driving change and development initiatives within your area of responsibility and in collaboration with other parts of the IT department taking responsibility for the section's personnel, operations, and finances Remote work is offered for a limited part of your time; trust-based working hours are applied. Qualifications As a manager in the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, you are expected to create engagement, participation, and accountability. We are looking for someone who has: Academic education preferably in systems science, a university degree, or civil engineer degree, or alternatively other education combined with experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant. Documented leadership training Several years of experience in management positions with personnel, operational, and budget responsibility Several years of experience leading through other managers Experience working in large organizations with many stakeholders and complex dependencies Experience leading operations through change, development, and growth Experience developing working methods, processes, and organization to increase quality and efficiency Good knowledge of operational management and change management. Good ability to translate goals and strategies into concrete activities and results Very good ability in speech and writing in Swedish and good ability in speech and writing in English It is also advantageous to have: Education in change management, business development, or project management Education in IT Service Management, ITIL, or equivalent frameworks Experience in IT service, IT support, or other business-focused IT operations Experience leading operations responsible for service or service delivery Experience from public sector operations or other politically governed organizations Experience leading operations with geographically dispersed employees Experience with change initiatives in a growing organization Knowledge of project and portfolio management Knowledge of governance management in larger organizations Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has decided to eliminate the personal letter and replaced it with selection questions relevant to the position.
