About Us The Mapping Unit (Kartlägga) is responsible for collecting, structuring, and presenting the information needed for effective decision-making and accurate matching on the labor market. This involves making data about job seekers' skills and employers' needs accessible through smart interfaces, both internally and for external parties. The section is responsible for two digital products encompassing numerous different applications. In our agile development teams, we manage and drive new development to improve digital workflows for both job seekers and employers. Through efficient digital flows, we promote collaboration and support that contributes to strengthening the conditions for a well-functioning labor market. Job Description As a Section Chief within the Mapping Unit, you have overall responsibility for the section's operations, personnel, recruitment, budget, and work environment. The role requires clear, trustworthy, and engaged leadership, as well as the ability to work in a technology-intensive and changing organization. You are expected to make decisions in complex situations and contribute to long-term development of both employees and operations. You lead and develop your employees based on the operations' goals and needs, and actively work to improve work methods within both development and management, and ensure a strong delivery culture. Your technical understanding and insight into digital development enable you to contribute both strategic perspectives and practical support. Furthermore, the role involves being an active member of the unit's management group and collaborating with union representatives in accordance with applicable regulations. In day-to-day work, you also collaborate with other section chiefs, product managers, and key functions within and outside the unit, with the goal of creating a holistic view and effective cross-functional collaboration. Basic Requirements for the Position Current experience in a leadership role (continuous assignment, project, work group) of at least 6 months within the Swedish Public Employment Service operations – OR, Completion of the Swedish Public Employment Service preparatory management program – OR, Current experience in management at an equivalent level with operational and personnel responsibility from another organization for at least 1 year. AND A degree from a college/university in IT, computer science, systems science, digitalization, or equivalent technical field, or experience and qualifications assessed as equivalent Experience building and leading teams, iterative development, and demonstrated delivery responsibility and product development within IT with significant operational impact Communicates fluently in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing Additional Merits for the Position Experience working in a larger, agile IT organization that develops and manages digital services. Current experience leading and driving IT development with other agencies, municipalities, or regions and public actors. Current experience with strategic development work in complex organizations with team requirements, etc. Experience in management within the state sector Current experience with change management in a larger organization.
