About the job Goods and Bus Section 1 is located in Gothenburg and works with licensing and supervision of companies conducting goods and passenger transport. On the same unit is Goods and Bus Section 2, which shares work tasks with the section. The section is part of a unit with seven sections that work together to ensure that transport of goods and people is conducted safely, has good accessibility, and that there is fair competition in the market. You will be part of the unit's management team, where you are expected to contribute to the development of both your own operations, the unit's, and the department's activities in a positive way toward set goals. The rate of change is high within the professional transport field, and the various operations need to be continuously developed. Close cooperation with the other professional transport sections is important for creating a holistic perspective and for meeting expectations from stakeholders. Since the professional transport field is public, you will have some media contacts. The work requires travel within the country. The section has approximately 15 employees. Your leadership As a manager, you are responsible for the operations within your section and you work actively with personnel, budget, and work environment issues. You lead and create good conditions for employees in their work and represent the employer. As a manager at the Swedish Transport Agency, you actively participate in management team work where you contribute to the development of both your own operations and the Swedish Transport Agency in a positive way within the framework of our mission with citizens and business in focus. You will work with management and supervision of licensing and supervisory activities within goods and bus, in very close collaboration with the section manager of the unit's other section with the same responsibility area work with leadership and development of employees plan for the section's competence supply, recruit, and conduct systematic work environment work work with media contacts and industry dialogues work with operational development work with own assignments/projects plan and follow up the section's budget plan, follow up, and develop the assignment and work tasks that the section has. You must have relevant academic education experience leading development and change initiatives experience from work at a government authority current experience working in a leading role as a manager, project manager, or similar. It is an advantage if you also have current experience working as a manager with personnel, work environment, budget, and operational responsibility experience from the professional transport field experience working in a management team documented leadership training familiarity with handling media contacts. The unit's other sections are located in Borlänge, Gothenburg, and Umeå, and the unit manager is based in Borlänge. The work is performed mainly at the workplace, but remote work can be a complement when deemed appropriate based on operational needs and the nature of work tasks. Appointment according to agreement.
