You are the manager of Criminal Investigation Section 8 within the Criminal Investigation Unit at the Crime Prevention Department. You have personnel responsibility for approximately 20 employees, participate in the unit's management group, and report to the unit manager. The Crime Prevention Department has approximately 170 employees at locations throughout Sweden. Your work location is Gothenburg. Business travel occurs. The Crime Prevention Department's mission is to prevent, combat, and investigate economic crime, serious tax evasion, both nationally and internationally, and population register crimes. The mission also includes criminal investigation and intelligence activities. The work is conducted based on the Swedish Tax Agency's mandate in this area, including inter-agency cooperation at the national and regional level. About you To do a good job and thrive at the Swedish Tax Agency, you need to be responsive, think innovatively, and take responsibility. In this job, you should: - have the ability to see the big picture with a focus on customer value - have the ability to create the right conditions based on your understanding of operations and mission - have the ability to act deliberately in everyday work based on good self-awareness - be able to handle and analyze information flows, see connections, delimit and convey information - have the ability to communicate clearly and create a climate where we listen to each other You should also have: - university education of 180 higher education credits (120 credits) or alternatively several years of current experience in relevant investigation activities - current experience leading and developing others as a manager, team leader, or similar function - strong knowledge of English, both spoken and written - a valid driver's license (category B) It is desirable to have experience in criminal investigation (preliminary investigation) or control activities within taxation at the Swedish Tax Agency. It is also desirable if you have experience as a first-line manager at a government agency. Good to know The employment is permanent and may begin with a probationary period of six months. Within the Swedish Tax Agency, we apply manager commissions of up to five years, with the possibility of extension in periods of at most three years, without a limit on the number of extensions. Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security clearance with register verification according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
