BAE Systems Bofors develops, produces and delivers advanced defense systems and is currently in an exciting growth phase. The Development Department has grown steadily in recent years – and the journey continues.
As part of this development, the organization within the System unit (KES) is being further shaped, with the ambition to create the right conditions for both people and operations to grow sustainably over time.
About ILS and the team's work
ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) is about ensuring that our systems function effectively, safely and sustainably throughout their entire life cycle – from development to operation, maintenance and further development.
ILS is an integral part of the development work and your employees contribute in close collaboration with other technical areas and projects – with a focus on creating solutions that work in practice, not just on paper.
Your role
As section manager for ILS (Integrated Logistics Support), you get clear responsibility for your own section – where you lead, develop and build up the business as the organization grows.
The business is conducted largely in project form, which means that you and your team contribute to several parallel projects linked to different product areas. A central part of your role is to ensure that the right expertise is in the right place – by planning, prioritizing and allocating resources to projects based on needs and long-term goals.
This is a role where you both work close to people and contribute to the bigger picture. You work closely with another section manager within ILS, as well as with other managers and your management group within the unit. Together you drive development forward, while you have full responsibility for your group.
Initially, the group is relatively small, which means you will play an important role in recruiting, shaping and developing your team.
Your employees are mainly located in Karlskoga and Karlstad, but also in other locations.
You will, among other things:
Lead and develop your section
Recruit and build the team as the business grows
Take responsibility for resource planning, work environment and skills development
Ensure the right expertise – both now and in the long term
Drive change and contribute to organizational development
Collaborate with other section managers, project managers and management
Help develop working methods, processes and collaboration forums
Placement location: Karlskoga
Your profile
We are looking for you who want and enjoy taking responsibility – for people, operations and development.
You have:
Technical post-secondary education, or experience we consider equivalent
Experience within ILS, maintenance, aftermarket or similar
Leadership experience, for example as a manager or project manager
Experience of change, growth or business development
Good understanding of technical processes and quality work
Good knowledge of Swedish and English
