About the Job You will manage one of six sections in the Case Processing Area within the Processing Department. The area is responsible for the Swedish National Agency for Education's case processing, which primarily involves handling, distributing, and following up on government grants totaling 28 billion to preschools and schools, issuing preschool teacher and teacher credentials, and maintaining registers of credentialed teachers and preschool teachers. The area is led by an area manager and has approximately 80 case handlers and six section managers. As a section manager, you and your management colleagues play an important role in implementing decisions, changes, and new working methods in the organization. Your section has 12 employees, and you lead, allocate, and follow up on the operational work within the section. You are responsible for ensuring that the organization achieves its goals in production, quality, and efficiency, and you actively work to develop working methods and create good conditions for your employees in their daily work. Through coaching and present leadership, you support and develop your employees both individually and as a group. The Processing Department is undergoing an important development phase, including a reorganization aimed at strengthening close and clear leadership. The goal is to create better conditions for quality, collaboration, and more flexible use of resources. The department is also preparing for upcoming major reforms in the school system, with a particular focus on a 10-year compulsory school program that will require updates to 300,000 teacher credentials. You report to the area manager and are part of the area's management team. Within the management team, you work closely together and collaborate on common planning, prioritization, and flexible use of resources. One of the area's sections and the area manager are located in Härnösand, while you and the other four sections are located at the head office in Solna.
